Estimate
Aromas of red berries, potpourri and rich soil tones introduce the 2018 Nuits-Saint-Georges Village, a medium to full-bodied, deep and succulent wine that's elegantly fleshy and enveloping, framed by an ample chassis of ripe, powdery tannins, concluding with a long, sapid finish.
...very pure bouquet of raspberry, wild strawberry and hints of blue fruit...palate is medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins, and quite firm, offering a mixture of red and black fruits laced with truffle and cedar toward the finish. Very fine.
A discreet but not invisible application of wood can be found on the fresh mix of red and dark pinot fruit, earth, spice and overt floral nuances. This is not especially dense but I like the energy of the middle weight flavors that possess a highly attractive texture, all wrapped in a firm, nicely complex and only mildly rustic finale.
...little more savoury...very slight stemmy herbal note but it's subtle...little lighter in obvious fruit and a little more tannic but barely so. Super-fresh. Dry and lingering. So elegant.
