A positively gorgeous nose that is fully mature and offers a wonderful mix of spice/earth/leather/aged fruit/dried rose petal and hints of sandalwood leads to rich/full/sweet and still powerful flavors that possess excellent depth...

18.5Clive Coates

Medium-full colour. Rich, more opulent and more vigorous than the DRC's Romanee-Saint-Vivant....Fullish, rich, very intense, very youthful. This is very lovely. Very long and very fine.

****Michael Broadbent

...unquestionably mature; sweet, fragrant bouquet; soft mid-palate but very tannic and good...

REGION

France, Burgundy, Côte d'Or, Côte de Nuits, Vosne-Romanee, Richebourg

The vineyard lies just to the north of La Romanee and Romanee-Conti and is situated at elevations from 260 to 280 meters. The soil is a clay, pebble, limestone and sand mixture. Richebourg includes the subsection of Les Veroilles-sous-Richebourg. TYPE

Red Wine, Pinot Noir, Grand Cru

This red wine is relatively light and can pair with a wide variety of foods. The grape prefers cooler climates and the wine is most often associated with Burgundy, Champagne and the U.S. west coast. Regional differences make it nearly as fickle as it is flexible.
