A touch of wood toast frames the elegant, pure, intense and gorgeously spicy black pinot fruit that complements perfectly the big, robust, sweet and large-scaled flavors that are underpinned by firm buried tannins and sensational length.
Meaty, earthy aromas and flavors, with accents of cherry and berry, are followed by a dry, firmly structured finish. Though ripe and classy, this has completely shut down.
Highly perfumed nose combines black fruits, licorice, rose petal and underbrush. Juicy and penetrating, with terrific definition, lift and cut. A wine of great delicacy and no excess weight. Finishes very long and juicy.
Smells of black raspberry, wood smoke and cocoa powder, exhibits a tight, tart black raspberry fruit concentration underlain by charred meat and wet stone on the palate, and a vigorous, bright, intensely smoky, spicy finish.
