Estimate
Dried herbs, iron, spice, tobacco, incense and scorched earth lend notable complexity to this virile Cabernet Sauvignon. The tannins are a bit sinewy, but, then again, this is Kenefick Ranch.
This shows blackcurrant, cigar box and pencil shavings. Some crushed-stone minerality, too. Full-bodied and chewy. Firm, with layers of fine-grained tannins and a mellow, chocolatey mouth-feel. Long and even.
...plenty of ripe, plummy dark fruits, notes of cedar pencil and leafy herbs, medium to full body, ripe tannins, and a great finish.
Dark and winey, with a dense core of steeped plum and boysenberry fruit laced with licorice snap and roasted alder notes. Good underlying juiciness carries this all through the graphite-edged finish.
Juicy red and black cherry highlight a brightness of lifted acidity amidst this wine's depth of richness and rounded tannin. Clove, dusty crushed rock and a hint of tobacco add to the complexity and overall appeal of this full-bodied wine.
