RATINGS

91Vinous / IWC

Compelling aromas of strawberry liqueur, raspberry and cocoa powder, plus a hint of menthol austerity. Velvety, sweet and full in the mouth, with thoroughly ripe but fresh flavors of berries, cocoa and mocha and a whiff of more exotic fruit

90Burghound.com

Extremely ripe coffee and torrefaction aromas with plenty of power and a nicely spicy finish. The length here is very impressive and this should age for a long time.

REGION

France, Burgundy, Côte d'Or, Côte de Nuits, Vosne-Romanee, Les Suchots

Les Suchots is a 33-acre Premier Cru in Vosne-Romanee, in Burgundy’s Cote de Nuits. The vineyard is at the same elevation as Romanee-Saint-Vivant. Its neighbors are Romanee-Saint-Vivant and Richebourg on the south and Les Echezeaux to the north.

TYPE

Red Wine, Pinot Noir, 1er (Premier) Cru

This red wine is relatively light and can pair with a wide variety of foods. The grape prefers cooler climates and the wine is most often associated with Burgundy, Champagne and the U.S. west coast. Regional differences make it nearly as fickle as it is flexible.
