RATINGS

93Wine Spectator

Exhibits a charming mix of buttery oak, rich fruit, baking spice nuances and an overall sense of harmony and finesse. The core apple, melon and apricot flavors are intense without being weighty, and the finish displays a measure of grace.

92Vinous / IWC

Sexy, oak-spiced citrus and orchard fruit and jasmine scents show impressive clarity and pick up a smoky mineral nuance with air. Sappy and concentrated yet lithe, offering palate-staining Meyer lemon, pear nectar and honeysuckle flavors underscored by a current of juicy acidity. Finishes very long and stony, with subtle vanilla and ginger notes lingering behind.

91Wine Enthusiast

This is a ripe, succulent white, dark golden in color, that's lush and expansive on the palate in fleshy tropical and stone fruit. Toasted oak comes forward on the finish, accentuating the wine's nearly full-bodied nature, never getting in the way of the minerality.

REGION

United States, California, Sonoma, Sonoma Coast

Sonoma Coast AVA runs from San Pablo Bay in the south to Mendocino County in the north. It includes 7,000 vineyard acres and earned AVA status in 1987. Its proximity to the Pacific Ocean means it gets double the rainfall of nearby inland appellations and the ocean gives the appellation a relatively cool climate. Chardonnay and Pinot Noir can thrive in these conditions, and there are numerous producers making critically acclaimed Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

TYPE

White Wine, Chardonnay

This white variety originated in Burgundy, but is now grown around the world. Its flexibility to thrive in many regions translates to wide flavor profile in the market. Chardonnay is commonly used in making Champagne and sparkling wines.
