An explosively perfumed bouquet evokes dark berry preserves, black tea, licorice and smoky Indian spices. Lush, palate-staining black and blue fruit flavors show noteworthy intensity, focus and pick up a floral pastille nuance with air.
This grape is grown in milder climates and produces a medium-to full-bodied wine. It is also known as Shiraz, but should not be confused with Petit Sirah, which was developed by crossing Syrah with Peloursin.
