A top note of blood orange introduces this crisp red, with cherry, currant and floral flavors allied to a bracing structure. Fine length.
...notes of creamy cherry, rose petal, clove and orange blossom. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied and texturally voluminous, discreetly framed by satiny, fine-grained tannins and juicy acids.
...aromas of raspberry, spices, bitter chocolate and licorice. Wonderfully dense but juicy too, with its black fruit and mint flavors lifted by a floral element. Voluminous, classy, perfumed and very long, with the tannins barely noticeable today. A superb village wine.
There is fine intensity to the velvety yet impressively precise medium weight flavors that are at once seductive yet punchy while delivering excellent depth and length on the balanced finish.
Slight dairy note at first on the nose but on the palate it is all fruit, with gently chewy and surprisingly rounded texture... Dry and firm on the finish.
