RATINGS

96+ The Wine Advocate

...fragrant cassis, plums and blueberry preserves with violets, earth and bay leaves suggestions. Medium to full-bodied, the palate offers pretty perfumed black fruit in mouth with firm, grainy tannins and seamless freshness, finishing long and savory.

95Jeb Dunnuck

...rocking notes of blackcurrants, chocolate, tobacco leaf, and damp, gravelly earth...beautiful purity of fruit, ripe tannins, and just everything in the right place...a stunning wine.

91Vinous / IWC

...ripe, jammy and plush... Dark raspberry jam, chocolate, menthol, licorice and spice and front are center in this attractive, mid-weight Cabernet from Stewart.

91James Suckling

Attractive aromas of spice, rose petals and chocolate-like oak with a rich, dark-berry core in the mouth and smooth, easygoing tannins that make a silky, approachable finish.

Located in the city of St. Helena, the 25-acre vineyard is planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. Beckstoffer Vineyards owns and farms more than 3,600 acres of highly prestigious grape growing vineyards in Napa Valley, Mendocino County and the Red Hills of Lake County. A senior executive with Heublein in the 1960s, Andy Beckstoffer is credited with steering Napa Valley vintners towards improving farming and the quality of the grapes used for wine. Grapes from any Beckstoffer vineyards are considered among the finest available in California.
