RATINGS

92Vinous / IWC

The nose is well-defined with wild peach, touches of white flowers and light red apple scents. Quite floral in style. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, taut and fresh with fine weight, a touch of stem ginger enlivening proceedings towards the finish.

92John Gilman

The bouquet is vibrant and complex, wafting from the glass in a lovely blend of lemon, pear, apple, chalky soil tones, fresh almond, orange zest and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and fairly reserved in profile...with fine depth at the core, zesty acids, excellent focus and cut and a long, complex and beautifully balanced finish.

Airy and more elegant aromas are comprised by equally smoky notes of pear, apple, mineral reduction and acacia blossom along with a suggestion of the exotic. The delicious medium weight flavors possess a relatively supple and overtly rich mid-palate that immediately tightens up on the very dry and persistent finale.

90The Wine Advocate

Notes of pear, orange oil, pastry cream, peaches and freshly baked bread introduce the 2019 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Champ Canet, a medium to full-bodied, rich and fleshy wine with an ample, open-knit core of fruit and a saline finish.
