...an absolute master class in winemaking and frankly, this “Village” would outshine many a 1er and Grand Cru. It possesses a crystalline bouquet with lime flower, apricot and that leitmotif of crushed stone... How do they do it?
...showing noteworthy power and tension, not to mention terrific precision of stone fruit and citrus flavors.
There is excellent volume to the somewhat more generously proportioned flavors...mineral character on the lemony, bone dry and borderline strict finish.
Notes of quinine in a slightly fat nose. Lovely sappy attack. Pure, fine, tense - absolutely classic Coche-Dury. Even their regular village wines are a marvel. Still chewy on the finish.
