RATINGS

92Stephen Tanzer

...very full flavors of youthful black fruits and licorice. Unusually ripe and smooth for this cuvee, mounting impressively toward the back, where the broad, sweet tannins arrive late.

92Burghound.com

...excellent concentration and punch on the firm but velvety finish supported by buried tannins and simply terrific length. Highly recommended.

90-91The Wine Advocate

...smells of blackberry, cassis, roasted meats, and tobacco... impressively long traces of black fruits, meat, herbal concentrates and chalk...

France, Burgundy, Côte d'Or, Côte de Beaune, Beaune, Les Bas Des Teurons

Les Bas des Teurons is a 15.7-acre Premier Cru vineyard located in the central part the Beaune appellation, in Burgundy’s Cote de Beaune. Clive Coates has written that in the central section of the Beaune appellation is “where you will find the finest examples of premier cru in Beaune.”

TYPE

Red Wine, Pinot Noir, 1er (Premier) Cru

This red wine is relatively light and can pair with a wide variety of foods. The grape prefers cooler climates and the wine is most often associated with Burgundy, Champagne and the U.S. west coast. Regional differences make it nearly as fickle as it is flexible.
