RATINGS

95Wine Spectator

Bright and fresh, with lots of red currant, plum and black cherry fruit notes driving along nicely, while a subtle tug of iron runs underneath. Late floral and warm earth flashes on the finish add more range and contrast. Focused, detailed and really well built.

94+ The Wine Advocate

...notions of crushed black and red currants, ripe blackberries and black raspberries plus hints of dried Mediterranean herbs, tilled soil and pencil lead. The medium to full-bodied palate is chock-full of crunchy black and red berries, framed by firm, grainy tannins and a lively backbone, finishing long with loads of minerals and an herbal lift.

93James Suckling

...rich, opulent cabernet...currant, chocolate and hazelnut, as well as cedar. Full-bodied red with round, soft tannins and a creamy texture at the end.

91Jeb Dunnuck

...lots of blueberry fruits as well as tobacco, chocolate, and gravelly earth-like notes. It's rich and medium to full-bodied, with ripe tannins and outstanding length.

90Vinous / IWC

...bold and racy from the outset. Lifted floral notes and strong savory accents give the 2018 much of its character.

Beckstoffer Vineyards owns and farms more than 3,600 acres of highly prestigious grape growing vineyards in Napa Valley, Mendocino County and the Red Hills of Lake County. A senior executive with Heublein in the 1960s, Andy Beckstoffer is credited with steering Napa Valley vintners towards improving farming and the quality of the grapes used for wine. Grapes from any Beckstoffer vineyards are considered among the finest available in California.
