RATINGS

92-93The Wine Advocate

Waxy black cherry aromas can be detected in the nose... ...thick, seductive... ...Medium to full-bodied and sensual, it slathers the palate with velvety tar-laced blackberries.... ...immensely impressive depth, purity...

90Burghound.com

...the tannins and the flavors are rich, sweet, structured and impressively intense and display a very attractive spicy quality on the finish.

89-92Stephen Tanzer

Pure, discreet aromas of blackberry, violet, bitter chocolate and mint. Juicy, tightly wound and impressively intense, with bright flavors of dark berries, violet and mint. A step up in fruit intensity and length from the foregoing samples

17Jancis Robinson

Rich, heavy, and quite thick. No concessions to the modern world! Chewy. Dry finish... Thick and dense. Lots of fruit and spark, though no shortage of aggressive tannin on the finish. Quite different, if more traditional, style than most.
