RATINGS

95+ Stephen Tanzer

...aromas of crushed stone, petrol and lime blossom...hinting at great incipient complexity, with notes of talc, citrus skin, white flowers and white pepper. Dense and fat with sheer extract; a real mouthful of liquid minerals...

19Jancis Robinson

Great mass. Great depths. Lots of acidity, but also lots of ripe green fruit flavours.

95Burghound.com

Stunningly focused and detailed and this wine has it all with power, muscle, sap, style, complexity, typicity, concentration, depth and a palpable sense of minerality as the flavors seem as though they're cut from liquid stone.

94Robert M. Parker Jr.

...displays huge depth and concentration, a broad, ample personality, and immense underlying power. Loads of slate and flint flavors are found in its satin-textured character as well as throughout its 45+ second finish...

REGION

France, Burgundy, Chablis, Les Clos

Les Clos is a 61-acre Grand Cru vineyard in the appellation of Chablis, at the northwestern tip of Burgundy. With rocky soil, good drainage, and a southerly orientation, the vineyard is generally the most acclaimed of the Chablis Grand Crus. The principal landholders are Fevre with 10.38 acres; J. Moreau, with 9.01 acres; and C. Moreau, with 9 acres. Other notable producers with parcels in Les Clos are Francois Raveneau, Louis Pinson, Joseph Drouhin and Rene Dauvissat. Like all the Chablis vineyards, it is planted exclusively to Chardonnay.

TYPE

White Wine, Chardonnay, Chablis Grand Cru

This white variety originated in Burgundy, but is now grown around the world. Its flexibility to thrive in many regions translates to wide flavor profile in the market. Chardonnay is commonly used in making Champagne and sparkling wines.
