Superripe aromas of cassis, redcurrant and dark chocolate, with complicating notes of fresh herbs, licorice and mint. Really chewy with extract; opulent middle-palate fruit shows almost garrigue-like notes of fresh herbs (thyme!) and spices. Finishes very long, with big, tongue-coating tannins. A superb vintage for this wine.
