RATINGS

95Wine Spectator

Magnificently focused, brimming with mineral intensity and worldly complexity. Cleverly built, with medium-toasty oak notes, a tightly wound lemon and pink grapefruit juiciness and cigar-box aromas.

93Robert M. Parker Jr.

This magnificent wine exhibits almond, hazelnut, and sweet floral scents. Its ethereal character is filled with pears, minerals, and lemons that seemingly last forever.

A very fresh and finely detailled nose of white flowers and citrus fruit leads to tight, even somewhat closed middle weight flavors that are a bit lean just now yet offer excellent balance and plenty of upside potential for development.

France, Burgundy, Côte d'Or, Côte de Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet, Les Folatieres

Les Folatieres is a 43-acre Premier Cru vineyard in the appellation of Puligny-Montrachet, in Burgundy’s Cote de Beaune. It is nearly in the center of the Premier Crus and is the largest Premier Cru in Puligny-Montrachet. Burgundy writer Clive Coates has written that “Les Folatieres is a fullish, meaty, mineral wine with plenty of weight of fruit and good grip – a typical Puligny premier cru in fact.”
