RATINGS

97The Wine Advocate

...a sense of exoticism here, a Richebourg daring to show a bit of ankle. Blackberry pastille intermingle with wilted violets, and there is a touch of warmth that belies the precocity of the growing season.

96+ Vinous / IWC

...shows off marvelous density. Savory herbs, sweet tobacco and smoke add nuance on the creamy, voluptuous finish.

96Burghound.com

...broad-shouldered, powerful and impressively well-concentrated flavors that possess a sappy mouth feel. In much the same fashion the intensity of the massively long finish is borderline painful while displaying superb depth of material...

18.5+ Jancis Robinson

Spicy and rich. Broad and very friendly...remarkably polished tannins at first...So juicy and alive!

REGION

France, Burgundy, Côte d'Or, Côte de Nuits, Vosne-Romanee, Richebourg

The vineyard lies just to the north of La Romanee and Romanee-Conti and is situated at elevations from 260 to 280 meters. The soil is a clay, pebble, limestone and sand mixture. Richebourg includes the subsection of Les Veroilles-sous-Richebourg. TYPE

Red Wine, Pinot Noir, Grand Cru

This red wine is relatively light and can pair with a wide variety of foods. The grape prefers cooler climates and the wine is most often associated with Burgundy, Champagne and the U.S. west coast. Regional differences make it nearly as fickle as it is flexible.
