RATINGS

94Wine Spectator

Dense, complex and layered, offering firm dark berry, freshly turned earth, spice, licorice, roasted coffee beans and mineral, all in spades, with tannins firming on the finish. Dry Creek Syrah doesn’t get much better.

91Vinous / IWC

Blackberry, singed plum and cocoa powder aromas are lifted by a floral topnote. Sweet, floral and open-knit, with very good density to its black and blue fruit flavors.

TYPE

Red Wine, Syrah (Shiraz)

This grape is grown in milder climates and produces a medium-to full-bodied wine. It is also known as Shiraz, but should not be confused with Petit Sirah, which was developed by crossing Syrah with Peloursin.
