Estimate
An impressively crafted blue/purple wine with plenty of black raspberry, blackcurrant fruit, licorice, incense and camphor. The wine is full-bodied and well put together, with sweet tannin, decent acidity and terrific richness.
Generous notes of blueberry jam, cloves, new leather, spices and menthol that come alive in the glass. Sumptuous and beautifully layered, the 2012 Clew is a classic Mark Herold wine.
Rich and juicy, with expansive red berry, blackberry and licorice flavors, accented by dusty, cedary aromas, ending with a savory, dried herb aftertaste.
