Since 1996 WineBid.com has sold private consignments on the Internet. As the leading Internet
wine auction, we have attracted a loyal and active community of 49,000 registered bidders world
wide who collect and appreciate fine and rare wines. Our weekly auctions offer more than 8,000
lots per auction, including both single bottles and case lots. At WineBid.com wine appraisals
are complimentary.
How to sell your wine
- Register on our site.
- Complete our consignment form. We will make an initial appraisal and send it to you
with a Seller's Agreement. We will set a reserve for each wine. The reserve is the minimum
price at which it will sell.
- Please note that we cannot accept consignments with total estimated reserves of less than $2,500. Exceptions
occasionally will be made for extraordinarily rare consignments.
- Complete the Seller's Agreement and send it with your wine to our nearest facility.
Your account manager will work with you to arrange shipping and proper packaging. Please
note that you are responsible for the cost of packing materials and shipping.
- Once we've received your wine, our inspectors check each bottle. They document
information about your wine that will be used to describe your wine in the auction.
Your account manager will then draw up a final appraisal which will take into consideration
the condition of each bottle and any discrepancies between the list you submitted and the
wines we received.
- You will receive a final appraisal. As soon as we inspect your wine we will schedule it
for the next auction in which space is available.
