“The wine has dazzling stuffing, expansive texture, sensational purity, and well-integrated acidity and tannin. It is a stunningly complex, grand cru Pinot Noir that should drink nicely for 10-15 or more years.” That’s how Robert M. Parker Jr. described the 2005 Aubert UV Vineyards Pinot Noir. The wine clearly impressed him, and he awarded it 95 pts. Stephen Tanzer liked it too, giving it 94 pts. It’s included in this group of California and Oregon Pinot Noirs. All the best domestic producers of Pinot are included, from Beaux Freres and Domaine Drouhin to Calera, Sea Smoke, Rochioli and Williams Selyem. Every wine offered earned at least 89 pts from reviewers.
