RARE SCREAMING EAGLE VERTICAL ON AUCTION AT WINEBID.COM®

Napa California: – WineBid.com, the premier Internet auction of fine and rare wines, is pleased to announce that in our auction of June 3-10 we will offer a complete 11-bottle vertical of Screaming Eagle. The vertical comes from the cellar of a California collector. Since its first vintage in 1992, Screaming Eagle Cabernet Sauvignon has been one of the most extraordinary wines ever produced in California. Screaming Eagle is the quintessential California Cult Cab and the winery makes only 500-850 cases a year, nearly all of which are snapped up by wine enthusiasts fortunate enough to get on Screaming Eagle’s mailing list. Year after year Screaming Eagle earns top ratings, usually receiving 95-100 pts from Wine Spectator and Robert M. Parker Jr. This extremely rare 11-bottle vertical represents Screaming Eagle’s entire history. The reserve for the vertical will be $40,000. The 1992 bottle is a magnum and the remaining vintages are 750mls. There is no 2000 vintage because Screaming Eagle did not release a 2000 vintage. As for the other vintages, Parker has written that “there is an unbelievable purity to these wines, as well as phenomenal concentration and richness...”

“This remarkable vertical from one of California’s finest producers is exactly the kind of rare offering our customers are looking for,” said Jerome Zech, WineBid.com’s Chief Executive Officer. “We are happy to have it in our auction and anticipate very active bidding.”
