RATINGS

97The Wine Advocate

...blessed with a sensational nose...The palate is beautifully structured, virtually symmetrical with filigree tannin, with a gentle crescendo in the mouth towards an effervescent finish with hints of orange peel. Simply effortless.

96Burghound.com

...black cherries, spice and earth that complements well the broad-shouldered and impressively scaled... overtly muscular where the finish retains a sense of robust power and stunning length. One of the great vintages for this fabled wine.

95+ Stephen Tanzer

Knockout, utterly noble nose of black plum, blackberry, violet, minerals, earth and flowers, plus an exotic suggestion of blood orange. Full, suave and dense; manages to be utterly silky and precise at the same time.

REGION

France, Burgundy, Côte d'Or, Côte de Nuits, Vosne-Romanee, Richebourg

The vineyard lies just to the north of La Romanee and Romanee-Conti and is situated at elevations from 260 to 280 meters. The soil is a clay, pebble, limestone and sand mixture. Richebourg includes the subsection of Les Veroilles-sous-Richebourg. TYPE

Red Wine, Pinot Noir, Grand Cru

This red wine is relatively light and can pair with a wide variety of foods. The grape prefers cooler climates and the wine is most often associated with Burgundy, Champagne and the U.S. west coast. Regional differences make it nearly as fickle as it is flexible.
